What's Cooking, Innisfil?: Tech-savvy teens with an interest in cooking are invited to participate as a “Host Chef” for the virtual cooking program, What’s Cooking, Innisfil? As a host chef, students select their own recipe, and then film and edit a virtual cooking demonstration to be shared on the Rizzardo Health and Wellness Centre YouTube Channel. Participating students will earn 7 volunteer hours upon successful completion of their cooking video. Applications can be found here to be a Host Chef. Want to know more? Sustainable Food Champions: In this circular food program, participants will gain food preparation skills and learn about the environmental impacts of food waste while preparing food for the Innisfil Community Fridge. Participants will prepare bread, pretzels, crackers, soups, stews, and vegetable sides, and more, using upcycled spent grains from the brewing process and produce seconds from local farms. Running Wednesday’s from 3:30 – 5:30pm, November 10-December 15 at the Horodynsky Community Kitchen at the Rizzardo Health & Wellness Centre, students can earn 2 hours of community service each week that you participate!
