Youth Job Connection Program

Are you between 15 to 29 years of age and looking for your next career step – employment, education or both? Youth Job Connection (YJC) can connect you to the possibilities!
YJC includes 60 – 90 hours of paid workshops to help you:
• Identify career options that could “fit” based on your interests, strengths and abilities
• Understand the pathway that is best for you – education, apprenticeship or work
• Develop your “soft skills” e.g. customer service, leadership, communication
• Manage workplace and employer expectations like a pro

YJC includes hands-on job experience and exposure to careers and workplaces so that you can:
• Explore career options
• Gain work experience:
• Participate in a paid job placement matching the individual’s interests and abilities
• Financial support for transportation, work clothing, and equipment costs is available as needed * Get job-related certification or training

Eligible participants must be 15-29, unemployed, not attending full time training or education, resident of Ontario and eligible to work in Canada.
Youth Job Connection is an Employment Ontario program.
