Spirit Points have been around St. Peter's since the inception of Clash of the Colours in 2003! They were created to track friendly rivalry between the staff, students and grades as the grades come together and work as a team to be crowned the Spirit Champion of the year! We have had some grades win 3 times in a row and we have had a group of Gr. 9's win too!
The Simcoe County Rovers are looking for some Volunteers to assist with Rovers Home Game Day Operations.
Innisfil Community Events and Onionfest are reaching out to take volunteers who may still need their community service hours in a number of areas, including working with our electrician the week leading up it. The electrician is a member of ICE committee and we all have our vulnerable sector. They would not be doing anything with live wires or electricity. It will literally just be carrying and placing tonnes and tonnes of cable and wire for the electrician to put together. A basic knowledge for instructions would just be good.
A second order will be put in for grad gowns.
My name is Emily Moffatt and I am the Community Lead for ALS Canada covering the Simcoe County. I am reaching out on behalf of the Walk to End ALS to promote our need for event day volunteers.

At SMCDSB, we continue to build upon our strategies for increasing awareness, prevention, and responding to suspicions or disclosures of human trafficking. Did you know that Ontario has the highest rate of Human Trafficking in Canada, according to data gathered by Statistics Canada? Here in Simcoe County and the Districts of Muskoka/Parry Sound, we are considered a hot spot for human trafficking due to the highway corridor. In collaboration with OneChild, a 2-part parent/caregiver webinar was created to support parents and caregivers with information about human trafficking, our local context, signs to look for, and steps to address concerns. These webinars can be found on our Board website. You may also wish to explore this helpful parent resource from OneChild.”
